1 How cards work
- Yellow cards stack — count of active yellows drives the ban: 1 = warning, 2 = 1 day, 3 = 3 days, 4 = 1 week, 5 = 1 month, 6 = 3 months, 7 or more = permanent. Each yellow expires after 2 weeks of un-banned time (the clock pauses while you're banned). Cards expiring naturally never lift a ban — only an admin revoking a card can do that.
- Red cards are explicit admin bans and do not expire. An admin sets the ban length (1 day up to permanent).
- While banned you can't sign up for tournaments, join queues, or be picked as a substitute.
2 Reasons you may get a yellow card (non-exhaustive list)
- No-show — Checking in to a match and not showing up when it starts on time. Automatic — can be reverted with a genuine reason. No penalty for being late when you join as a substitute. Dodging a specific opponent or teammate is treated the same way.
- Bullying — Slurs, threats, personal attacks, or sustained hostility — in chat, voice, or DMs. Friendly banter is fine; if the target asks you to stop, stop.
- Gameplay sabotage — Own goals on purpose, going AFK, refusing to play, or throwing. Post video or screenshot evidence if no admin was in the match.
- False results — Reporting a score that doesn't match what happened.
- Sandbagging — Losing on purpose or otherwise manipulating your rating to get easier matchmaking or softer tournament seeding.
- Smurfing — One account per person. Contact an admin if you need a Discord account change — don't create a second profile.
- Disruption — Spam, excessive pings, or disruptive behaviour in voice chat, match chat, or other channels.
- Known exploits — Using an exploit the community has clearly flagged as off-limits.
3 Immediate red card and permanent ban
4 Appeal
- If you think a card was issued unfairly, DM Rachel or an admin directly. Be specific about the card and why you think it's wrong — clear mistakes can be reverted.
